F&M Motorsport at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix & Ferrari Challenge North America

The 2024 Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix brought high-speed action to the city, but for Ferrari fans, a key highlight was the Ferrari 296 Challenge. As Ferrari preservation, restoration, and performance specialists, F&M Motorsport was excited to see this machine up close at the Wynn.

Ferrari 296 Challenge at the Wynn Las Vegas

One of the most talked-about attractions during the weekend was the Ferrari 296 Challenge, displayed at the Wynn Hotel. This track-focused car blends performance and design in a stunning package.

The 296 Challenge is Ferrari’s latest single-make race car, dropping the hybrid system from the road-going 296 GTB and running a pure V6 that delivers 690 horsepower. With over 1,918 lbs. of downforce at 155 mph, it is built for speed and precision.

  • Lightweight Design – Carbon fiber components and a stripped-down interior for a better power-to-weight ratio.
  • Upgraded Braking – CCM-R brakes provide superior stopping power under race conditions.
  • Aerodynamic Enhancements – A large rear wing, aggressive front splitter, and optimized airflow for maximum grip.

F&M Motorsport has extensive experience with Ferrari race cars, working in IMSA, SRO, and Ferrari Challenge racing series. We offer full support services for both current and legacy models, ensuring top performance on and off the track.

Ferrari Challenge North America: Racing on the Strip

The 296 Challenge also hit the track in the Ferrari Challenge North America race, a support event for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Nearly 40 drivers battled on the high-speed, technical street circuit.

F&M Motorsport has long supported Ferrari motorsport programs, providing race prep, on-site track support, and post-race servicing. Whether for Ferrari Challenge, IMSA, or SRO, we ensure these race cars perform at their best.

Las Vegas Grand Prix: A Unique Street Circuit

The Las Vegas GP featured a 3.8-mile circuit running through iconic landmarks. Long straights and tight corners made for plenty of overtaking action. Ferrari’s F1 team delivered a strong performance, keeping fans engaged throughout the weekend.

While F1 cars took center stage, the Ferrari Challenge North America series gave privateers a chance to test their skills on the same circuit.

Ferrari SF21: Formula 1 on Display

Another highlight for Ferrari fans was the Ferrari SF21 on display at Caesars Palace. This pre-2022 F1 car features a 1.6L V6 turbo hybrid engine with around 1,000 horsepower. It was one of Ferrari’s last designs before the latest F1 regulation changes.

The SF21’s aerodynamics, suspension, and hybrid powertrain reflect Ferrari’s constant innovation in motorsport. Seeing it in person was a special moment for fans who appreciate the engineering behind Ferrari’s racing efforts.

At F&M Motorsport, we don’t just admire Ferrari racing—we actively support it. From full race prep for IMSA and SRO to ongoing service for Ferrari Challenge cars, our expertise covers multiple generations of Ferrari race cars.
